Today was the moment when Anika's friend looks at me and asks, "What's your book about?"  And all of my pretty polished sentences flash through my brain except this girl is five almost six and all those sentences wouldn't make sense so I said, "A girl has to decide whether to do what people expect or whether to become Queen of the Goblins."

A quick note because every spare minute I dive into The Goblin Queen for rewriting.  I need to finish it this week and I'm just getting to the tangled parts where characters who were written out in the beginning appear again.  I'm through the mad adrenaline rush where it was all exciting.  It's still fun, but I also hit moments where the words are ( Read more... )
